About the position

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will join the Vascular team at UCHealth Heart and Vascular Clinic, providing personalized, evidence-based patient care in various settings including the Operating Room, Intensive Care Unit, and Clinic. The role emphasizes collaboration, communication, and a passion for cardiac care, with support for professional growth through an APP committee and director.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based patient care in the Operating Room, Intensive Care Unit, and Clinic.
• Collaborate with the vascular team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Participate in the APP continuum plan for career development and support.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members to enhance patient care.
• Manage ICU patients and assist in vascular surgeries.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
• Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Colorado.
• Certification from ANCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA required for hire.
• Full prescriptive authority or provisional prescriptive authority for Nurse Practitioners.
• Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Nice-to-haves

• Three years of Vascular Surgery experience in the Operating Room and ICU management.
• Experience with radial artery and endovascular vein harvesting.
