About the position

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) role at CVS Health involves providing holistic, evidence-based primary and family care in a home clinic setting. This full-time position requires working 30-35 hours per week, including every other weekend, and participating in an on-call and holiday rotation. The NP will have the autonomy to manage their practice while receiving support from a collaborative clinical care team, ensuring a focus on patient-centered care and community health.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary and family evidenced-based care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of health problems.
  • Perform administrative duties such as opening/closing the clinic, inventory management, patient follow-up, and maintaining a clean environment.
  • Handle patient appointments and perform routine examinations to ensure positive health outcomes.
  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and coordinate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
  • Encourage patient participation in their healthcare through services like health screenings and chronic condition management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner is required, preferably in Family medicine or primary care.
  • Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
  • Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Experience in ordering and administering immunizations and injections, with patient education on vaccines.
  • Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Completion of the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
  • Proficiency in additional languages, including Spanish, is preferred depending on the market.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
