About the position

The position involves providing direct patient care as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at Beebe Medical Center. The role focuses on delivering high-quality healthcare services to a diverse patient population, including children and the elderly, while adhering to established protocols and standards of care. The individual will be responsible for patient assessments, diagnostics, and management of chronic illnesses, as well as promoting disease prevention and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients from six months to the geriatric population.
• Interpret electrocardiogram and lab test results accurately.
• Diagnose and manage care for patients with chronic illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and asthma.
• Promote disease prevention through effective risk assessment, coaching, and counseling.
• Complete Annual Medicare Wellness physicals in accordance with Beebe Medical Group policy and Medicare guidelines.
• Handle unexpected emergent medical situations appropriately.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, co-workers, and healthcare providers.
• Work at other Primary Care locations within Beebe Medical Group as necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Family Medicine, Wellness Center, or Internal Medicine is preferred.
• Master of Science in Nursing is essential.
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) credential is required.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification is essential.
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of basic computer programs and electronic health records.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients and team members.
• Ability to withstand crisis situations and provide customer service.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Family Medicine, Wellness Center, or Internal Medicine.
