About the position
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radioactive isotopes to produce high-quality images for physicians, aiding in disease diagnosis. This role requires proficiency in various imaging technologies and adherence to safety guidelines, ensuring optimal patient care and effective communication within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes for imaging procedures.
- Produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients and support personnel.
- Maintain flexibility to work at various locations and shifts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure efficient patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nuclear medicine technology program.
- Board certified in Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB or ARRT).
- Current state licensure as required.
- BLS certified.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Nice-to-haves
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience preferred.
- Additional certifications as determined by Radiology leadership.
