About the position
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a crucial role in operating complex equipment to produce high-quality radiographs and conducting general nuclear studies, including cardiopulmonary nuclear stress testing. This position involves direct patient care, collaboration with radiologists and staff, and the implementation of department procedures and protocols. The technologist works under the indirect supervision of the Radiology Manager and may assist in the Radiology front office as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate complex equipment to produce high-quality radiographs.
- Conduct general nuclear studies and cardiopulmonary nuclear stress testing.
- Collaborate with the Radiologist, manager, and staff in developing and evaluating department procedures and protocols.
- Provide direct patient care and access confidential patient information.
- Make independent decisions in collaboration with the Radiologist and staff.
- Assist in the Radiology front office when patient schedule/volumes allow.
Requirements
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
- Current licensure in the State of Ohio.
- At least 1 year of nuclear medicine experience.
- Experience with Siemens gamma cameras is required.
