About the position

Harborview Medical Center - Radiology has an outstanding opportunity for a RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST, NUCLEAR MEDICINE II (PART-TIME, DAYS). This position reports to the department supervisor and receives general direction from the supervisor and assigned Nuclear Medicine Lead. The role involves performing complex clinical diagnostic examinations such as lymphoscintography, treadmill cardiac perfusion, and pharmacologic stress cardiac perfusion, while providing expertise to support nuclear medicine clinical services. The technologist will tailor examinations to individual patients in collaboration with physicians and exercise advanced technical knowledge in a specific area of expertise such as clinical computer application or examination protocol development in the field of nuclear medicine. Additionally, the technologist will provide work direction to others in their area of expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex clinical diagnostic examinations such as lymphoscintography, treadmill cardiac perfusion, and pharmacologic stress cardiac perfusion.
  • Tailor examinations to individual patients in collaboration with physicians.
  • Exercise advanced technical knowledge in a specific area of expertise in nuclear medicine.
  • Provide work direction to others in the area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Two years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I or equivalent education/experience.
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine in the State of Washington.
