About The Position
Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking a full-time Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our RWJ hospital-based critical care team. This position provides advanced clinical care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment while collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary staff.
Requirements
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New Jersey
- ACLS certification required
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, team-based environment
Nice To Haves
- Critical Care, Acute Care, or ICU experience preferred
- Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and labs
- Perform procedures within scope of practice
- Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Respond to patient emergencies and rapid changes in condition
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care coordination
