About The Position

Corteva Agriscience™ is looking for a dedicated, highly motivated Logistics Lead to support North American Seed Product Development operations. The Logistics Lead will ensure strong collaboration and execution across R&D centers and functions. Additionally, the Logistics Lead will support the North America Corn Product Development team. As a Logistics Lead, the chosen candidate will support design, implementation, and improvement of process decisions, allocation and reporting of resources, and operations across North American R&D centers. Excellent leadership and communication skills, strong understanding of breeding strategies, strength in process implementation and optimization, and attention to detail will be essential to the role.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or above.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of processes and procedures utilized by Seed Product Development function.
  • Strong analytical abilities, including ability to use data to make decisions and present recommendations for process improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal and business communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Advanced MS Office products skills.
  • Ability and willingness for occasional overnight travel.

  • People leadership experience is preferred.
  • Workload and resource planning experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represent, support, and coach R&D centers in their operations with a focus on Western United States centers.
  • Serve as a conduit of information with the North America Research Operations Network (RON) team.
  • Ensure strong connection with the Global Logistics Lead team.
  • Coordinate workload capacity planning and support execution strategy across North American R&D centers.
  • Provide resource management and resource tracking information to support North American crops.
  • Support the capital investment process.
  • Support North America Corn Product Development through coordination of logistics around seed production, seed movement, precision phenotyping, and population development.
  • Develop performance summaries of product pipeline and breeding trends for North America Corn Product Development.
  • Lead and assist in the coordination of North America operational and scientific meetings throughout the year.
  • Promote a safe and respectful workplace culture.
  • Work with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), R&D centers, leaders, vendors, and other stakeholders to assess design safety of equipment, tools, and processes.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills for fostering teamwork, enhancing a good working environment, and effectively developing strong working relationships with a diverse group of people.
  • Work with functional leaders to establish project goals aligned with business goals.
  • Responsible for planning, executing, and completing assigned projects.
  • Demonstrate scientific knowledge and behavioral leadership in daily work.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate continuous process improvement.
