About the position

The Payroll Technician position at the Stanwood-Camano School District involves working 5 hours from Monday to Friday during the period of November 1 to August 31, and 8 hours from September 1 to October 31, totaling 260 days per year. This role is essential for managing payroll processes within the district.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processing for district employees.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and audits.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.

Requirements

• Must be a citizen or have a visa permitting work in the United States.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal history background check.
• Ability to perform the duties of the job.
• Successful completion of WSP and FBI background clearance check.
• Completion of Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure Release Form(s).
• Verification of employment eligibility (I-9 form).
• Completion of required training provided by the district.
