About the position
Pace is hiring a Non CDL Box Truck Driver in Nashville, TN. Pace is seeking a natural leader who will make multi-stop business to business deliveries from the Pace cross dock to retail locations in and around the Nashville, TN area. Deliveries are made using a 26' Box Truck with a Lift Gate and consist of unloading freight at local retail stores. Freight may be palletized and/or floor loaded. Palletized freight is unloaded using a manual pallet jack. At times, deliveries will be heavy touch when cartons require hand delivery using a cart. Drivers are generally assigned routes 5 days per week, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 26' Box Truck with Lift Gate.
- Pick up freight and deliver to Pace's customers in the scheduled timeframe.
- Breakdown pallets for customers as needed.
- Deliver cartons (boxes) to customer store using carts/pallet jack.
- Use Pace delivery app/scanner to track and document all deliveries.
- Maintain good relationships with our customers when making deliveries.
- Punctuality and accuracy within customer time windows on all deliveries.
- Timely communication with team regarding route issues.
- Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
Requirements
- Must have 12 months or more experience driving a Box Truck or qualified commercial vehicle.
- Not afraid to touch freight when needed.
- Must meet background and drug screening requirements.
- Valid DOT Med Card.
- Drivers must be 21 or older.
