About The Position

This role is for an Underground Logistics Miner (Nipper) responsible for ensuring safe work practices, maintaining housekeeping, and adhering to company policies and legislation. The position involves performing pre-operational and post-operational checks, delivering and picking up equipment and personnel underground, removing waste, assisting with bolting and meshing, and setting up headings. The role also requires teamwork, following instructions, and proactive hazard identification.

Perform pre-operational and post-operational checks.
Perform miscellaneous and critical tasks underground including delivery and pick up of equipment (tools, explosives, piping, services etc.).
Delivery and pick up of underground personnel.
Removal of waste items from underground workings to waste dumps.
Assist Jumbo Operators with bolting and meshing as required.
Set up headings with bolt and mesh, and assist other service crew when possible.
Undertake other duties as lawfully instructed.
Lock-out and tag out as per regulatory bodies and company policies.
Work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals.
Leverage the talent and knowledge within the team to resolve problems.
Follow instructions as per SOPs, guidelines and those provided by the shift supervisor.
Prioritise and complete tasks accurately as to specifications as assigned by direct supervisor within required timeframes.
Proactively identify and address hazards before they arise as issues.
Be punctual to work and all required site meetings.
