About the position
The NinjaZone Coach position at Southeast Family YMCA is a part-time role focused on inspiring and training children aged 3-12 in the Ninja Sport. The coach will lead classes that promote agility, strength, coordination, and flexibility while ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about youth development and physical fitness, with a commitment to fostering self-esteem and independence in children.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct children in Ninja Zone classes, focusing on agility, strength, coordination, and flexibility.
- Implement engaging activities that align with Ninja Zone curriculum in a memorable, captivating, and fun way.
- Help children develop physically and mentally by learning concepts such as independence, self-esteem, and patience.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to children to support their skill development and progress.
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and facility policies.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about children's progress and program updates.
Requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work well with children and motivate them to achieve their goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and be a team player.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience coaching gymnastics, martial arts, or related disciplines preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of Ninja Zone or similar programs is a plus.
