Night Warehouse Associates play a pivotal role at Columbia Distributing. They are responsible for picking and preparing customer orders accurately for our delivery team. Working as a team is a critical part of this position's success. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity standards, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Associates will utilize an electric pallet jack and other provided technology to accurately pick customer orders, demonstrating a cooperative and team-oriented behavior consistent with the company's core values. This position also involves maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols, and completing all other tasks or projects as assigned by supervisors or managers. The work environment is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks. Physical demands include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling weights of up to 50 lbs repetitively and up to 165 lbs as needed. Associates must also be able to bend, stoop, crouch, squat, and use their arms, wrists, and hands effectively. The ability to hear is essential for communication and safety purposes. This is a full-time position, and the days and hours of work may vary, including weekends and overtime as necessary. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess the ability to read, write, and communicate in English to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. While prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling is preferred, it is not mandatory.
