This job is responsible for the operation, repair, cleaning, inspection of the 2550W and 2570W Dragline, and the operation of support equipment performing grading and coal cleaning work for the Draglines in open cut environments.
Responsibilities
- Visibly support and champion Peabody's Mission and Values
- Act in accordance with and adhere to Safety as a Way of Life Management System
- Inspect and service equipment
- Plan digging activities to ensure optimal coal recovery
- Dig coal and waste to ensure optimal recovery
- Train more junior production employees
- Assist in cable moves for draglines
- Pre-start inspection of equipment and work environment
- Collect waste and tipping at correct location
- Monitor the control panel of the equipment to identify and correct malfunctions and service requirements
- Operate support equipment (dozers, loaders, and skidders)
- Ensure activities comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirements
- Other duties as assigned by the company
Requirements
- High School Degree or GED Equivalent required
