About the position
As a NICU RN, you'll work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to provide specialized care for newborns that are either sick or premature. This role involves delivering medical care at various levels, from intensive life-saving measures to rehabilitation and nourishment, requiring a strong foundation in infant care. Travel nurses in this position will have the opportunity to work in different locations, adapting quickly to new environments while providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
- Administer medical treatments and monitor the health of infants.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Adapt quickly to new environments and patient needs as a travel nurse.
- Support families of newborns during their hospital stay.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of recent experience in neonatal care.
- Active nursing license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states.
- Additional certifications as required by the specific facility or unit.
- Strong knowledge of infant care and medical procedures.
