About the position
The position is for a full-time AP/CP Pathologist at a progressive academic health system in Central New York, affiliated with Columbia University. The role involves replacing a retiring member of an established group of pathologists and primarily focuses on anatomic pathology sign-out, with additional responsibilities in teaching and laboratory directorship.
Responsibilities
- Replace a retiring member of an established group of five pathologists.
- Cover the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs of the entire integrated network.
- Perform anatomic pathology sign-out.
- Engage in general practice including minor teaching responsibilities.
- Direct the outlying network laboratory.
- Examine approximately 18,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases annually.
Requirements
- Full-time AP/CP Pathologist certification.
- NYS COQ strongly desired.
- Experience in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology.
