About the position

The New York Health Equity Reform Program Manager at UnitedHealth Group is responsible for overseeing the implementation of health equity initiatives as part of the New York Health Equity Reform Waiver. This role involves managing relationships with regional Social Care Network entities, ensuring compliance with program requirements, and engaging cross-organizational teams to address health-related social needs. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with executive-level audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the 1115 waiver Social Care Network project, Making Care Primary, and Global Budgeting Initiative.
• Oversee relationships with NY Regional Social Care Network Lead Entities to support New York Health Equity Reform Waiver priorities.
• Operationalize SCN, MCP, and GB requirements to ensure timely and compliant rollout of UHC initiatives.
• Engage cross-organization business teams to identify key issues, gaps, strategic needs, and priorities.
• Develop, maintain, and track project plans, roadmaps, schedules, and other core project management deliverables for the HRSN program.
• Summarize and communicate proposed processes and changes to address priorities, demonstrating needs through data and assessing impacts.
• Provide program updates to an executive-level audience.
• Review and measure deliverables to ensure quality standards are met.
• Recommend actions to direct the analysis and solution of problems.
• Develop and maintain relevant policies, procedures, job aids, and training materials.

Requirements

• 5+ years of combined experience in Program Management, Healthcare or Managed Care Analytics, and/or Provider Network.
• 3+ years of proven project or program management experience managing major projects across multiple business areas or systems.
• 1+ years of proven leadership and matrix partner collaboration skills.
• Advanced experience in defining and tracking program deliverables, including project plans and milestones.
• Advanced user experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Visio).
• Demonstrated ability to meet commitments, build consensus, negotiate resolutions, and garner respect from teams.
• Exhibit diplomacy with solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to travel within New York state up to 10% of the time.
