Sheehy Toyota of Laurel is seeking an Experienced New Vehicle Sales Manager who is energetic, driven, and passionate about leading an outstanding sales team. With Toyota sales on the rise, we are looking for a professional with at least three years of stable employment and experience as a New Vehicle Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of profitability, above-average CSI, managing new vehicle inventory, delivering accurate and profitable appraisals, desking deals effectively, and providing exceptional customer service. Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills are essential for this role.

Requirements

  • Must have three years or more of New Vehicle Sales Management experience
  • vAuto, Dealertrack, and eLeads experience a plus!
  • Leadership skills with a real passion for training sales team employees
  • Goal-oriented, friendly personality, especially when negotiating to price
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Quality customer service, communication, computer, and basic math skills.
  • Great organization and follow-up skills
  • Authorized to work in the USA
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug test
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Ability to effectively manage all areas of the sales department, including but not limited to wholesale, retail, purchasing, and marketing
  • Experience with automotive internet and retail tools, i.e., v-auto, E-car list
  • Ability to forecast goals and objectives for New Vehicle Department, gross and key controllable expenses elements on a monthly and annual basis
  • Possess strong closing abilities, accurately desks deals, submits deals to lenders for approval, makes credit decisions
  • Ability to handle and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Lead the negotiation process, ensuring that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing
  • Ensure high standards are held for the delivery of vehicles to customers
  • Ensure that sales representatives are trained, understand and follow dealership policies at all times
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers, subordinates, and other management
  • Ability to train and be a leader to your sales staff; an effective manager is a great leader
  • Demonstrate leadership by setting a clear vision and goals for the sales-targeted performance
  • Engage and motivate the team to achieve critical goals, performance expectations, and standard methodology processes
  • Partner with the General Manager to plan vehicle inventory to ensure the proper mix of grounded stock for maximum turnover efficiency
  • Analyze business metrics and market analyses to resolve shortfalls and implement action plans to elevate performance
