About The Position

UH Lake West Acute Care Medical unit is made up of 30 beds with another 15 beds in the Observation Unit. Currently we have private and semiprivate rooms on the 4th floor. Our team is made up of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Care Assistants. Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

Requirements

Diploma in Nursing or (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)
Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)

Nice To Haves

(BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
(MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on clinical area standards.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required based on clinical area standards.
