The position is to support the transition from a new graduate in respiratory therapy to independent professional practice. The position is responsible for collaborating with the interdisciplinary team in the delivery of patient care, administering therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to patients with respiratory disorders, including patients requiring intensive care treatment.
Responsibilities
- Support the transition from a new graduate in respiratory therapy to independent professional practice.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team in the delivery of patient care.
- Administer therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to patients with respiratory disorders.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Care; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License (RCP) or Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR (American Heart Association).
- Additional certifications may be required based on respiratory unit requirements.
Nice-to-haves
- Residents to complete ACLS/PALS as a part of the residency program requirements; provided through program.
