The Neuro Intraop Monitoring Tech position at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare is responsible for performing intraoperative monitoring during surgeries, which includes educating staff, patients, and families about the monitoring process. Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of the Intraoperative Monitoring Program.
• Educate staff, patients, and families on the monitoring process.
• Perform and maintain all EEG and EP technical duties in the OR during surgery.
• Assess neurological function of patients during surgery.
• Report data to the neuroanesthesiologist for intervention when necessary.
• Edit data for the permanent medical record.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Associate degree in END technology accredited by the CAAHEP.
• No prior experience required, but preferred experience in intraoperative monitoring is a plus.
• Required certification: One of the following - R. EEG T., R. EP T., CNIM, or an associate degree in END technology accredited by CAAHEP.
• HR may accept three years of directly-related job training in lieu of required credentials at hire, with one of the above credentials required within eighteen months post-hire.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in, or exposure to, intraoperative monitoring.
• Additional credentials from the ABRET such as R. EEG T. or R. EP T.
