Requirements

10+ years of experience with network engineering
Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, MPLS circuit, NIPR / SIPR network, WLAN, ZTNA, Amazon Cloud, CUCM, voicemail, SCCP, Jabber, and SIP
Experience with Cisco routers and switches, Quality-of-Service DSCP marking traffic queue prioritization, OSPF and BGP routing protocols, Dynamic mGRE tunnels, VRF, MPLS / VPLS, Q-in-Q VLANs, Wireshark packet capture analysis, and network monitoring tools such as What’s Up Gold or Cisco ThousandEyes
Experience interacting directly with clients, managers, stakeholders, and approving authorities to identify problems, analyze data, generate solutions, and communicate results
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
DoD 8140 Certification

Experience with containerization
Experience with network orchestration
Experience with SDN or SDWAN
Experience with docker
Experience with virtualization
Experience with Navy Defense Research Evaluation Network (DREN) or Navy shore networks like Automated Digital Network System (ADNS)

Responsibilities

Translate complex business requirements and align the appropriate solution to support business needs.
Take accountability for architecture, planning, design, and verification activities to create production-ready configurations for the Global Network via business focused projects.
Provide technical leadership in developing methodology, process, and standards for measuring network and application related key performance indicators such as end-to-end application response time, latency, and overall throughput.
Be responsible for effectiveness, quality of service, performance tuning, and implementation success.
