About The Position

The Network Development Representative will be responsible for owning the full sales cycle within the DFW market, identifying and pursuing new revenue opportunities with various healthcare providers. This role involves recruiting physician practices and provider organizations into the OpenNetworks network, expanding access, density, and specialty coverage. The representative will also serve as a visible face of OpenNetworks in the DFW market, attending industry events and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders. Success in the first 12 months will be measured by achieving recruitment quotas, expanding network density, maintaining a consistent presence at events, and establishing strong relationships with priority partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Typically 5 or more years of experience in healthcare sales, provider network development, payer-provider contracting, or a closely related field. Candidates with a compelling performance record at 3 to 4 years will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of the U.S. healthcare landscape, including physician practice operations, payer-provider economics, value-based care, and managed care contracting.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales, recruitment, or growth targets. Specific examples of contracts executed, lives recruited, or territory growth required.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to physicians, practice administrators, and practice leadership.
  • Self-starter who thrives with autonomy: able to plan a week, manage a territory, and drive outcomes without close supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to be physically present at events, practice locations, and community functions throughout the DFW metroplex on a regular basis.
  • Current resident of, or willingness to relocate to, the DFW area prior to start date. Reliable personal transportation and a valid Texas driver's license required.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and standard business productivity software.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing professional network among DFW-area physician practices, IPAs, medical groups, or healthcare executives.
  • Prior experience representing a payer, MSO, ACO, health plan, or provider network organization.
  • Active involvement in DFW healthcare industry associations, medical societies, or community organizations.
  • Familiarity with Texas-specific regulatory and market dynamics, including TDI, Medicaid managed care, and Medicare Advantage in North Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle within the DFW market: from prospecting and discovery through contract negotiation, signature, and handoff to implementation.
  • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities with physician practices, independent physician associations (IPAs), specialty groups, ACOs, and ancillary providers.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline; achieve or exceed quarterly and annual quota targets.
  • Maintain accurate and current opportunity, account, and activity data in HubSpot.
  • Recruit physician practices and provider organizations into the OpenNetworks network, with a focus on expanding access, density, and specialty coverage across DFW.
  • Lead provider-facing meetings to explain network value, contracting terms, and operational onboarding.
  • Partner with Contracting, Credentialing, and Provider Operations to shepherd new providers through the onboarding process.
  • Monitor network adequacy and identify gaps; develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies to address them in coordination with the VP, Network.
  • Serve as the consistent, visible face of OpenNetworks in the DFW market: at industry events, medical society meetings, chamber and community functions, and physician practice visits.
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with key opinion leaders, practice administrators, hospital systems, and local healthcare associations over time.
  • Represent OpenNetworks at conferences, trade shows, and sponsorship opportunities throughout the metroplex.
  • Coordinate with Marketing on local sponsorships and community events where appropriate.
