About the position
Southern Careers Institute is seeking a .NET Jr. Software Developer to help shape the future of cutting edge educational delivery and will directly impact and support the organization's platform. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and key corporate and campus personnel to maintain academic quality, consistency, relevancy, and integrity in program development, course creation, oversight and review, and educational delivery. This position will partner with a UI development team in implementing, testing, and deploying platform enhancements and to improve course delivery, report functionality, and ultimately improving student outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Software development in a remote work environment
- Work alongside team members to maintain and implement API microservices, object services, and database repositories
- Participate in daily development team meetings
- Ability to investigate a large software code base to understand bugs
- Create new C# algorithms within Visual Studio effectively
- Participate in periodic software deployments during off-hours
Requirements
- 2+ years C#
- 1+ years NET 6+ or later (RESTful APIs, dependency injection, general algorithms)
- 1+ years Entity Framework 6+ (including migrations)
- 2+ years of Microsoft Server (SQL language, stored procedures, database design)
- 2+ years using Visual Studio (2022), GitHub, and Git
- Agile / scrum experienced
