This role involves performing fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) of investment castings to ensure they meet acceptance criteria outlined in IMRS and customer specifications. The technician will process parts according to technique sheets, verify previous paperwork completion, and ensure paperwork matches the parts being inspected. Responsibilities also include drafting techniques to assist Level III personnel as needed. Additionally, the role includes interpreting radiographs of metal castings and wax patterns, inspecting films for flaws, cracks, or foreign materials, and monitoring the working area for safety. Daily equipment preparation and radiation safety inspections are also part of the duties. The position requires adherence to customer specifications and established standards for interpreting radiographs and ensuring personnel safety in the working area.
