About the position

The Nature Based Preschool Teacher role involves working with a class of 3-4 year old children in a creative, nature-based preschool environment. The teacher will facilitate learning through interactive activities, support individualized instruction, and maintain a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere. The position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for nature and environmental education, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate learning
• Support individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
• Support the personal care of children
• Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings and communication
• Implement educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by participating in trainings
• Model Grace and Courtesy

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of classroom experience in Early Childhood education
• Good knowledge of peaceful/positive discipline
• Creative, kind, patient, and enjoy working with young children
• Positive attitude and ability to collaborate well with others
• Effective communication skills with children and parents
• Proven experience as an ECE support teacher
• Knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines
• Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills
• Well-organized and committed
• Strong moral values and discipline
• Knowledge of CPR
• Education degree or interest in pursuing a certificate in education; HSD or equivalent required
