About the position

The National Account Manager at Axcient is responsible for building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with key partners, including senior executives. This role focuses on understanding business strategies and explaining complex technical solutions to drive the adoption of Axcient's products, particularly in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) market. The position requires coordination across multiple functions while being personally accountable for partner success, with performance measured by sales penetration and customer feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining senior management/C-level relationships with key partners to understand their businesses and priorities.
  • Influencing the adoption of Axcient's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR), Office 365 Backup, and Secure Sync & Share solutions.
  • Supporting targeted named Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) through all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Conducting strategic account campaigns to enable partners to experience the full Axcient value proposition.
  • Managing a sales pipeline and tracking activities through various stages of the sales funnel.
  • Developing and delivering knowledge transfer activities and technical product training to named MSPs and VAR partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of technical sales experience within the MSP market.
  • Strong technical aptitude, ideally with a sales engineering background.
  • Experience developing and implementing account plans aligned to corporate strategy.
  • Successful experience as a new business "hunter".
  • Ability to introduce technologies and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Track record of successful personal sales pipeline management and results.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and build rapport in senior customer relationships.
  • Proven ability to engage multiple functional areas across an organization.
  • Personal goal setting, time management, and drive to succeed.
