About the position

As a National Account Manager for Government/Education at Spectrum Enterprise, you will leverage your telecommunication expertise to partner with government and education agencies. This role involves guiding clients through the selection of various services including voice, data, video, Managed Security, and Managed Network services. You will be responsible for acquiring new accounts, converting them into long-term clients, and preparing them for upsell opportunities, all while simplifying technology needs for civilian Federal agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a 12-week paid sales training program focused on sales enablement and performance tools.
  • Develop and implement sales plans for assigned portfolios with clearly defined strategies.
  • Consult with established and prospective clients to develop tailored product solutions.
  • Engage clients through comprehensive account management, including face-to-face needs analysis and product proposals.
  • Identify markets, industries, and contacts for a product portfolio by implementing a strategic sales plan.
  • Self-generate leads through industry networking, prospecting, and managing a defined named account list.

Requirements

  • Ten or more years of experience selling to Federal government agencies either directly or through partners.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Verification of U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Knowledge of LAN, WAN, high-capacity networks, and fiber connected networks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, closing, and English communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
