About The Position

Jovie Nannies + Sitters is seeking engaging, creative, and child-focused individuals to join their on-call nanny squad. This role involves making meaningful connections, creating joyful moments, and assisting families with childcare needs. The position offers flexibility, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive team environment. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of day-to-day childcare experience with children ages infant and up.
  • Reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license for transportation.
  • Ability to assist with school homework (up to 5th-grade Math and English assignments).
  • Availability at least three days per week to work between 7am - 7pm.
  • Ability to provide 3 references, 2 related to working with children (paid or unpaid), and 1 character reference.
  • At least 18 years of age or older.
  • Reliability and dependability.
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely.
  • Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Seasoned nanny, babysitter, daycare professional, or retired teacher.
  • Experience with children of all ages.

Responsibilities

  • Engage children in activities such as playing, reading, and arts and crafts in families' homes.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and coworkers.
  • Assist with school homework, specifically up to 5th-grade Math and English assignments.
  • Provide day-to-day childcare for children ages infant and up.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleanup of activities.
  • Participate in outdoor activities and active play, weather permitting.
  • React quickly and calmly to emergent situations in a safe and effective manner.
