About The Position

School of Rock is seeking a Music Teacher to facilitate weekly group classes for young children, teaching them the fundamentals of music through our patented curriculum. The primary focus is on creating a safe, fun, and constructive environment that fosters a love for music and artistic expression. This role also involves communicating with parents about student progress through lesson notes and preparing all necessary curriculum materials.

Requirements

Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor.
Passion for teaching.
>1 year of experience teaching children ages 3-6.
Strong classroom management skills.
Requires weekend (Saturday) availability.
Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
Strong customer relations skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Resourceful; good problem-solver.
Works well under pressure.

Responsibilities

Facilitate multiple 45-minute weekly group classes teaching music fundamentals to young children using School of Rock's patented music curriculum.
Create a safe, fun, and constructive environment to help students foster their love of music and artistic expression.
Communicate with parents on student progress by creating quality lesson notes.
Curate all necessary curriculum preparation and execution.
