About the position

Responsibilities
- Provide supervised highly structured music-related indoor recreational activities to residents.
- Plan and prepare lessons in relation to resident needs.
- Acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources.
- Teach music theory, aural skills, and practical techniques to residents.
- Motivate residents and encourage progress.
- Maintain communication with program management by assessing residents' abilities, providing feedback, and documenting required information.
- Be responsible for maintaining and securing all music equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to play one or more musical instruments.
- Experience or training in music therapy.
- Experience in music instruction.
- Experience working with adolescents is a plus.
