About The Position

Disability Law Group is seeking a full-time Multimedia Specialist to lead the firm’s video, podcast, and multimedia content production. This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, organized, analytical, and capable of managing video projects from planning through final delivery. The primary focus of this position will be producing and editing long-form and short-form video content, managing testimonial video projects, supporting the ramp-up of Michigan Accident Attorneys content, and helping relaunch and maintain the firm’s podcast. This person should have strong video editing skills, comfort with camera/audio equipment, the ability to organize production workflows, and enough creative judgment to create polished, brand-aligned content. This is not primarily a social media trends role. This full-time role should be owned by someone who can manage the technical, analytical, and production side of multimedia content.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of video production and editing experience.
  • Strong experience editing long-form and short-form video.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable professional editing software.
  • Experience with audio editing for podcast, interview, or long-form content.
  • Familiarity with cameras, lighting, microphones, and basic production setup.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple video projects at once.
  • Ability to analyze content performance and make recommendations based on data.
  • Ability to work with leadership, attorneys, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to attend in-person shoots/events in Metro Detroit.
  • Portfolio, demo reel, or sample work required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Adobe Audition, After Effects, Canva, CapCut, or similar tools.
  • Experience editing podcasts or interview-style content.
  • Experience producing testimonial, professional services, legal, healthcare, nonprofit, or community-based video content.
  • Experience organizing content libraries, production calendars, and asset management systems.
  • Comfort working in a professional, confidential, and compliance-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own video production and editing for DLG and MAA content.
  • Edit testimonial videos, attorney videos, podcast clips, educational videos, event footage, and short-form social clips.
  • Prepare for upcoming video shoots, including the July 15 shoot and future production days.
  • Manage raw footage, organize video files, maintain content libraries, and create repeatable editing workflows.
  • Create polished video deliverables for website, social, email, internal communications, ads, and community campaigns.
  • Ensure all video content aligns with brand voice, quality expectations, and compliance-sensitive messaging.
  • Support the relaunch and ongoing production of the firm’s podcast.
  • Edit podcast audio and video episodes.
  • Create short-form clips from podcast episodes for social media and internal use.
  • Support podcast setup, recording, guest coordination, file organization, and post-production workflow.
  • Ensure audio quality, video consistency, captions, and final exports are clean and professional.
  • Help plan, organize, and edit client/community testimonial videos.
  • Identify strong soundbites and organize footage into clear, emotionally appropriate stories.
  • Coordinate with leadership and team members on testimonial needs, especially for MAA ramp-up.
  • Maintain a testimonial content tracker, including status, footage received, edit stage, approval status, and final usage.
  • Track performance of video and podcast content across platforms.
  • Review engagement, watch time, retention, click-throughs, and other relevant content performance metrics.
  • Recommend content improvements based on analytics and audience behavior.
  • Help determine which video formats, topics, and channels are performing best.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, content output, and performance trends.
  • Coordinate filming schedules with attorneys, leadership, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare shot lists, production timelines, checklists, and run-of-show documents.
  • Manage equipment setup/breakdown, lighting, audio, and camera needs.
  • Maintain inventory of video, podcast, and production equipment.
  • Support event filming as needed, but events should not be the primary focus of this role.
