About the position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Neurology at AbbVie is a field-based scientific expert responsible for supporting the scientific and business objectives related to Neurology, particularly in the context of Parkinson's disease. This role involves engaging with healthcare professionals, providing education on disease states and treatment options, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance AbbVie's presence in the medical community. The MSL will develop and execute territory plans, maintain relationships with external experts, and support research initiatives while ensuring compliance with corporate policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute high impact territory plans, including HCP and Investigator engagement plans.
• Identify and develop professional relationships with external experts in therapeutic areas.
• Deliver on territory plan objectives and achieve annual functional goals.
• Provide education on disease state, therapeutic landscape, and AbbVie products to healthcare providers and researchers.
• Support research initiatives across development, including site evaluation and recruitment.
• Maintain cross-functional partnerships with commercial teams and clinical research associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in health sciences; advanced degree preferred, doctorate strongly preferred.
• Greater than or equal to 2 years of clinical, scientific/research, or industry-related experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytic skills to identify and translate territory needs into actionable objectives.
• Exhibit leadership attributes aligned with company initiatives.
• Ability to learn and apply skills in Scientific Storytelling, Identifying Mobilizers, Medical Challenger, and Active Listening.
• Meet health care industry representative credentialing requirements.
