About the position

The MS Science Teacher at Bonita Springs Charter School is responsible for creating and implementing an engaging and flexible educational program that fosters student learning and personal growth. This role involves developing lesson plans, maintaining student records, and utilizing various teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students. The teacher will also establish effective rapport with students, staff, and parents, and contribute to a positive school culture through participation in extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements a program of instruction that adheres to the company's philosophy, goals, and objectives.
• Develops purposeful and appropriate lesson plans that maximize time on task.
• Presents subject matter to students to maximize learning opportunities and provides real-world application examples.
• Maintains accurate and complete student records and assesses student strengths and weaknesses.
• Utilizes a variety of student learning modalities and differentiated instruction in lessons.
• Coordinates class field trips and prepares students for state-required assessments.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and maintains positive rapport with students.
• Communicates clearly and positively with parents and participates in parent communication activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Possession of valid teaching certification.
• Minimum of one to three years of successful teaching experience.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office and Student Information Systems.
