This full-time evening shift position operates Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner(s) within all guidelines of MRI safety, demonstrating a thorough understanding of MRI safety zones. The role involves interviewing and screening patients for exam appropriateness and documenting patient history, explaining MRI procedures to patients and families, administering appropriate contrast media intravenously, and accurately evaluating images to ensure quality and diagnostic status.

Requirements

  • Graduate of ARRT accredited program in Radiologic Technology
  • 1 year dedicated experience in MRI OR Graduate of an approved MRI training program and Registry Eligible
  • R.T. (R) (ARRT)
  • R.T. (R) (MR) (ARRT)
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of current MR technical information.
  • Proficient in using computers and computer systems.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiology
  • Certification in ARRT MR

Responsibilities

  • Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner(s) within all guidelines of MRI safety.
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of MRI safety zones and practices all safety guidelines.
  • Interview/screen patient for appropriateness of exam and patient history and documents such accurately.
  • Explain MRI procedures to patient/family for ultimate success of exam.
  • Administer appropriate contrast media intravenously.
  • Accurately evaluate images to ensure quality and diagnostic status of exam.
