About The Position

Provides imaging services to patients under the supervision of a registered MRI Technologist. Assists with educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure patients' understanding and cooperation. Implements patient safety standards. Assists the physician in a variety of imaging procedures. May be required to prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Responsible for setting up and providing equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures.

Requirements

• Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.
• No experience required
• Diploma, Associate's degree or higher in Science or related field required upon hire
• RT(R) - Registered as a Radiological Technologist in Radiology required upon hire
• ROC - Radiation Operator Certification in the state of Kentucky required upon hire
• BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position
• RT(MR) - Registered as a Radiological Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging required within 24 months of employment in this position
