About The Position

A leading healthcare system in Brunswick, Georgia is seeking an MRI Technologist to join a growing imaging department with strong leadership, modern equipment, and a collaborative team culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an MRI Technologist looking for a stable full-time overnight schedule, supportive leadership, and a department that actively invests in staff development and long-term growth. The department currently includes 4 full-time MRI technologists and 2 travelers, with the goal of building a strong permanent team of full-time technologists. This position performs high-quality MRI imaging procedures while delivering safe, compassionate patient care. This role works closely with radiologists, providers, and imaging team members to ensure accurate imaging and excellent patient outcomes. Technologists are responsible for completing provider-ordered MRI procedures according to established protocols while maintaining compliance with MRI safety, patient care, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology program required
  • ARRT(R) required
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and patient-centered care

Nice To Haves

  • MRI registry required within 12 months of hire
  • Prior MRI experience preferred, but technologists growing into MRI may be considered
  • Technologists who are not yet MRI registered will have 12 months to complete their MRI registry, and the facility will cover the cost of certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
  • Obtain patient history and complete MRI safety screenings and documentation
  • Operate MRI scanners and associated imaging equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain high-quality imaging standards to support accurate diagnoses
  • Communicate with radiologists and providers regarding imaging protocols when needed
  • Maintain compliance with MRI safety standards and regulatory guidelines
  • Coordinate with care teams to support efficient patient workflow
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with department standards
