About The Position

South Sound Radiology (SSR) is looking for a per-diem MRI Technologist. This role involves utilizing an MRI scanner and power injector, starting IVs, and administering contrast agents. The technologist will perform imaging to facility and ACR standards, protocol orders in advance, and screen patients for precautions. The position requires providing compassionate patient care, organizing patient flow to meet productivity and quality standards, and de-escalating conflict situations. Participation in accreditation processes is also necessary.

Requirements

Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program
Washington State Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic license required (Washington State X-Ray license, ARRT)
Advanced registry in MRI required
Current certification in Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR required
Demonstrates a professional demeanor in appearance and behavior in all work-related interactions

Nice To Haves

One year experience as a successful MRI tech preferred

Responsibilities

Utilizes an MRI scanner and power injector.
Starts IVs and administers various contrast agents.
Properly performs imaging to facility and ACR standards.
Appropriately protocol all orders in advance of appointments.
Properly screen patients prior to scans for any precautions or contraindications.
Provides patient care services in a professional and compassionate manner.
Organizes and monitors patient flow to meet company productivity, quality, health and safety standards.
Ability to de-escalate conflict situations with minimal supervisory assistance but able to recognize when a situation is beyond individual training/expertise and requires assistance.
Participates in federally recognized and approved accreditation processes, as necessary.
