About the position

As an MRI Technologist with Cross Country Allied, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare system by capturing medical images of patients for diagnostic purposes using advanced magnetic resonance imaging technology. This travel position is based in San Angelo, Texas, and is designed for professionals who are eager to explore new environments while providing essential healthcare services. You will be responsible for preparing patients for MRI scans, operating MRI machines, processing the images for review by radiologists and physicians, and managing patient records. Your expertise will also extend to utilizing other radiologic equipment, such as CT and X-ray machines, as needed in various healthcare settings including hospitals, outpatient centers, private practices, and imaging centers. In this role, you will work 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week, over a duration of 13 weeks. The position requires a commitment to patient care and safety, ensuring that all procedures are conducted in accordance with established protocols. You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion while interacting with patients, as well as collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards in the use of MRI technology.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of recent experience as an MRI technologist.
  • ARRT Certification is required.
  • BLS Certification (AHA) is required.
  • Current state license (if applicable) is necessary.
