The Mortgage Loan Originator originates first mortgage loans and home improvement loans for consumers. This role involves engaging in sales efforts, responding to customer inquiries, staying updated on regulations, promoting loan programs, cross-selling products, managing vendors, and performing other duties as required. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. NMLS certification is required. The role demands adaptability, strong communication, customer service, interpersonal skills, job knowledge, judgment, leadership, planning, organization, staff development, and technical expertise. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in sales and customer service is required. Experience in mortgage lending, commissioned sales, and financial services/banking is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office is required, with preference for Encompass, Cleartouch, OnBase, various government and investor software/web portals, and CRM software.
