About the position

The Mortgage Loan Closer at HCLTech is responsible for preparing loan closing packages and ensuring compliance with all necessary documentation and state requirements. This role involves reviewing loan files, coordinating with settlement agents, and managing the closing process to ensure the marketability of loans. The position requires strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare loan closing packages and Closing Disclosures (CD).
• Review loan files to ensure all conditions are cleared and ready to close.
• Review title commitments to ensure all title issues are resolved before drawing closing documents.
• Input accurate data into the Client's system for drawing closing documents.
• Coordinate the delivery of closing documents to the settlement agent.
• Ensure compliance with all state requirements during the closing process.
• Review underwriting conditions and coordinate with settlement agents for final fees.
• Review the Closing Disclosure for compliance and balance with title.
• Check returned documents for accuracy and completeness before funding.
• Approve documents for funding and authorize funding wire or check.
• Assist with post-closing corrections and audits.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; some college preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year of mortgage servicing experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Prior loan closing experience of 6 to 12 months preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Mortgage Loan Applications/Software (LOS) preferred.
