About The Position

This role involves handling inbound calls related to mortgage servicing, specifically focusing on insurance servicing questions. The representative will interact with borrowers, insurance agents, and financial institutions, addressing inquiries about homeowners insurance, payments, and coverage. The position requires multitasking between various systems, quick and accurate responses, and professional problem-solving. The role is a contract-to-hire position based in Troy, MI, with an initial on-site training period followed by a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

At least 1 year of RECENT customer service experience (call center experience preferred, but front desk/admin experience will be considered; retail or food service experience alone is not sufficient).
Efficient in using a Windows PC computer and navigating software systems.
Typing speed of at least 35 WPM.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Reliable internet connection for remote training and work.
Reliable transportation.
Basic Computer Literacy (70% passing score on test).
One Minute Typing Test (35 WPM passing score).

Nice To Haves

2+ years of call center experience.
Insurance or mortgage background.

Responsibilities

Handle approximately 35-45 inbound calls per day, with an average call duration of 11-14 minutes.
Address inbound calls pertaining to insurance servicing questions, specifically homeowners insurance.
Respond to inquiries from borrowers, insurance agents, and financial institutions.
Handle majority of calls regarding payment and/or coverage questions.
Multi-task between various systems to research and document phone calls.
Respond quickly and accurately, ensuring internal and external standards are met.
Utilize problem-solving and resolution skills.
Handle all calls in a professional manner.
