About the position
As a Mid-Level Model-Based Systems Engineer at Rite-Solutions, Inc., you will play a crucial role in the transition to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within the U.S. Navy's naval systems engineering projects. This position involves developing comprehensive models and collaborating with stakeholders to implement MBSE methodologies across various programs. You will work closely with the Director of Digital Engineering to drive initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of naval systems engineering, contributing to critical projects that shape the future of undersea warfare.
Responsibilities
- Build requirements and tests models
- Work with stakeholders in understanding how to read and use system models
- Model system use cases, behaviors, and structure
- Model software services, external interfaces, internal interfaces, and data structures
- Create process diagrams and support seamless transitions to MBSE
- Create document-generation templates for MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler
- Generate systems engineering CDRLs from a model
- Work effectively with government customers in defining MBSE schedules, roadmaps, and value driven MBSE tasking
Requirements
- 5-8 years of applicable industry experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical field
- Working knowledge of SysML and its 9 diagrams
- Experience implementing MBSE on new or legacy systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or other comparable system modeling tool
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
Nice-to-haves
- OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) certification
- INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) or Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification
- Experienced in Agile MBSE
- Experience with system of systems (SoS) modeling and the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
- Experience developing custom report generation templates using Velocity Templating Language (VTL)
- Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
- Active Department of Defense security clearance
