About the position
The Mobility Patient Care Technician (PCT) role at Ascension St. Vincent involves providing essential clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision. This part-time position focuses on assisting patients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. The PCT plays a vital role in supporting nursing staff by reporting changes in patients' conditions and documenting necessary records.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.
- Aid with movement and placement of patients.
- Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
- Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Document necessary records.
- Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date required.
- 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Nice-to-haves
- Candidate pursuing or obtained education in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Exercise Science, or Nursing preferred.
- Energetic and motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in various departments.
