About the position

The Mobile HVAC/Maintenance Technician is responsible for operating, inspecting, and maintaining HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in assigned facilities. The role focuses on ensuring efficient operation, safety, and compliance with regulations while minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and repairs. This position is a contract role with potential for extension or conversion, requiring a strong technical background in building engineering and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
  • Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, and building repairs.
  • Conduct facility inspections and report on conditions affecting client occupancy and operations.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and prepare summary reports for management.
  • Familiarize with equipment and methods required for daily activities, including building automation and fire/life safety systems.
  • Comply with safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
  • Ensure compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
  • Support after-hours building-related activities as required.
  • Attend periodic training seminars and perform other operational tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Universal EPA 608 Certification
  • Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. ladders.
  • Ability to perform on-call duties and overtime as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application.
  • Experience managing work orders using CMMS technology.
  • Experience in a service-related role specific to commercial facilities.
