About the position

The Mobile Diesel Technician at Prestige Fleet Services is responsible for performing onsite maintenance and repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. This role requires a skilled technician who can handle various mechanical issues, ensure compliance with maintenance schedules, and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, and tires.
• Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair or replace vehicle and trailer components as necessary.
• Open and close repair orders using a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other documentation in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills.
• Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders, including adding labor hours and updating work order statuses.
• 2-year experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed.
