About the position

The Millwright will install, maintain and repair a variety of piping and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishment, using hoists, lift trucks, hand-tools, and power tools. In addition, the millwright will read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Use hoists, lift trucks, hand-tools, and power tools for installation and repair tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and additional specialized training equal to a master craft designation.
• Completion of apprenticeship program and appropriate journeyman experience required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical construction trades.
• Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Ability to follow instructions, read blueprints, and make decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Must be able to visualize objects in three-dimension and use logical step-by-step procedures in work.
• Must be able to adapt to frequent changes.
• Physically able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must have pipefitter and millwright licenses.
• Must have a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card (company provided).
• OSHA 10 Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
