About The Position

The Millwright Shop is seeking a highly qualified Millwright Mechanic with a minimum of 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic. This role requires a skilled professional with strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, process-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in rigging and equipment handling
  • Strong metalworking and fabrication skills, including cutting and welding
  • Familiarity with process equipment used in a paper mill environment
  • Thorough understanding of industrial safety procedures and best practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair: Mechanical systems, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems
  • Precision installation of mechanical components including: Couplings, Bearings, Pumps, Rolls, Motors, Gearboxes, Other industrial equipment using advanced alignment tools
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to: Access and utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), Create work orders, Identify and locate parts in inventory
  • Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance, including: Visual and sensory inspections, Equipment performance evaluation, Lubrication practices, Use of diagnostic tools such as vibration monitoring and thermography
  • Experience with machining equipment, such as: Lathe, Milling machines, Grinders, CNC machines
