About the position

As a Millwright Estimator at CL Construction, you will be responsible for developing meticulous cost estimates for millwright projects, as well as Time and Material (T&M) jobs, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to understand project scope.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for millwright projects, covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Develop estimates for Time and Material (T&M) jobs, focusing on competitive pricing and profitability.
• Create comprehensive bids for millwright projects, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Analyze project scope, schedules, and requirements to identify cost-saving opportunities and risks.
• Present estimates and proposals to customers, addressing inquiries and highlighting key aspects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and leadership to ensure accurate estimates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; relevant experience considered.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in millwright project estimation or similar construction roles.
• Proven track record in preparing precise and competitive cost estimates.
• Strong understanding of millwright work, including machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
