About the position
Celestar Corporation is seeking a Military Officer/Tactical Operations leader specializing in Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) to support the CENTCOM Headquarters IDIQ for Professional Services. This role involves leading operational planning efforts, providing subject matter expertise, and coordinating with various government agencies to enhance WMD-related strategies and policies. The position is based primarily at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida, with potential travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Responsibilities
- Support unique Joint Planning Team (JPT)/Operational Planning Team (OPT) efforts.
- Assist in all aspects of the Joint Operational Planning Process including Mission Analysis, COA Development, COA Analysis, COA Comparison, and Decision.
- Analyze COA decisions, mission statements, and commander's intent to develop plans and orders.
- Act as a subject matter expert for USCENTCOM on USSOCOM-led planning efforts related to CWMD and WMD-T.
- Support the development and analysis of CWMD and CWMD-T plans assessments with various government agencies.
- Participate in the CWMD and CWMD-T community of interest, making recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct top-level systems analysis and develop high-level designs for joint system concepts.
- Prepare complex operations or technical documentation and deliver presentations related to WMD.
- Coordinate FOIAs and MDRs according to legal standards, ensuring proper safeguarding of plans and orders.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
- At least 5 years of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) related planning experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience at the Geographic or Functional Combatant Command Headquarters or Service Component headquarters that supports a Geographic Combatant Command
- Graduate of the Joint Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Planning Course (JCPC), CWMD Senior Staff Planners course, or equivalent program
